Despite the curiosity inspired in children through their ability to learn and progress quickly, the wrong method of teaching can negatively affect a child’s perception of music. By making learning fun and stimulative, Joyful Noise Music Studio creatively enhances the process of learning for a child and pays strict attention to developing certain disciplines such as practicing slowly with the metronome.

At the beginner level the studio accomplishes this with fun activities and exercises outside the key curriculum. Students are required to maintain a weekly record of their practice methods and hours of study. Through this approach, Joyful Noise Music Studio builds a strong base for young minds by first awakening an interest in the student and then capitalizing on that interest.

The recommended curriculum for beginners is The Music Tree series by Alfred Publishing Co. Accommodations will be made for transfer students and their curriculum.

Students at the intermediate level will continue to develop their skills with an introduction to classical repertoire. Theory, complimenting the student's level, will be supplied through a workbook. Ear training, and sight-reading are taught through repertoire and any technique exercises the instructor provides.

The studio is open to adults who would like to learn the basics. No curriculum will be necessary. Adult students can uncover their true love of playing through direct, free form lessons, arranged by the instructor.

This studio aims to provide aspiring musicians with an in-depth study of music. Students learn to play and enjoy playing. The instructor places an emphasis on how to practice well and efficiently. Lessons cover fundamentals of theory, technique, sight reading, and ear training. Musicality is stressed from day one and slowly developed through all levels in relation to the theory and technique being covered currently.
